  Rifftrax, one of two comedy film commentary troupes formed by former members of the original “Mystery Science Theater 3000″ group, has completed tracks for all three “Lord of the Rings” films with the release this week of its “Return of the King” Rifftrax.

  Why didn’t Frodo just ride an Eagle straight from Rivendell to Mt. Doom, and drop the One Ring into the lava? We know Gandalf was buddy-buddy with some giant Eagles, who rescued him from Orthanc and later snatched Frodo and Sam from certain immolation. If the Eagles can pick up the Hobbits from Mordor, why can’t they take them there as well?

  I dragged my father to see the execrable Ralph Bakshi version of The Lord of the Rings when I was 12 years old. It was the greatest disappointment I had experienced in my young life. Despite this, I feel compelled to share this video….
