This week in Middle-earth history:
March 27th, 3017 TA: Aragorn son of Arathorn delivers the captive Gollum into the safekeeping of the Elves of the Woodland Realm of Thranduil in Northern Mirkwood.
March 27th, 3019 TA: The siege of Erebor ends; Sauron’s forces are driven back by Bard II of Dale and Thorin III Stonehelm of Erebor.
March 28th, 3019 TA: Celeborn and Galadriel lead the forces of Lothlórien across the Anduin into southern Mirkwood, to destroy Sauron’s former base at Dol Guldur.
March 29th, 3020 TA: The mallorn sapling that Samwise Gardner planted on The Hill at Bag End, a gift from Galadriel of Lórien, flowers for the first time.
